I designed an integrated, mobile-first shuttle management platform for a client with 3,000+ buses to compete with platforms like Citiflow. The project involved creating a three-sided ecosystem connecting admins, drivers, and passengers. The platform enabled real-time booking and tracking for passengers while providing admins with powerful fleet, route, and operations management tools. This solution streamlined route planning, booking workflows, and support across web and mobile interfaces for working professionals, students, and daily commuters.

Problem & Business Constraints:
The client wanted to create a large-scale bus shuttle system that could rival competitors like Citiflow. While analyzing existing relevant solutions, the most significant challenge identified was in route planning and management within the admin portal. Other components such as the customer-facing app and driver app followed more generic patterns, but the complexity of managing routes and premium subscription plans required a unique design approach. The goal was to deliver a system that simplified fleet operations while providing customers with reliable and flexible travel options.

Research, Process & Design:
I conducted client interviews to understand operational pain points and performed a heuristic evaluation of Citiflow to identify usability gaps and technical limitations. I gathered driver feedback on needs like ride clarity and trip flexibility, and studied customer frustrations around booking management, pickup tracking, and support limitations. For the admin portal, I created intuitive workflows for route creation, scheduling, and fleet management with clear premium plan configuration, prioritizing scalability for 3,000+ buses. The driver app focused on simplicity with upcoming ride details, start ride workflows, accept or reject options, and issue reporting. The customer app emphasized easy booking with trip rescheduling and cancellation up to 2 hours before departure, seat changes, Google Maps integration, live help chat, and a profile area for booking history and support.
